My front brakes sound like an airplane is flying above me. Should I take my car to a certain brake place or does it matter? I drive a 91 MR2 and a lot of places act like they're afraid to work on it but it's just the brakes so I'm hoping I won't have too much trouble finding some place reasonable.

Honestly, I think more people do their own aorund here, so not many people know a place for them. Harris Quan is a good shop that may do those though.

I second Harris, he does top notch work & at an affordable price, & he is an honest business man which is rare these days. If I can not do the work myself, I get him to do it. If your MR2 is an N/A he will be happy to work on it. If your MR2 is a turbo, then he will NOT want to do engine/tranny work on it.

But, doing the brakes is easy, & I know he will do that. Other than Harris I only use Travis Cheney at Pro Auto for the engine & tranny work for he is real good & has owned several MR2's, Travis knows his stuff & is not expensive either. As for an alignment I only use Stigler Alignment on National at Summer Ave. Jon Stigler knows MR2's & is real good at suspension work & alignments.

Harris Quon = 385-7866
Pro Auto = 385-9902
Stigler Alignment = 327-2355

Tell any of them that I sent you to them.

Daniel

Add me to the list of VERY satisfied customers of Stigler Alignment. They diagnosed a mysterious noise for me that no one else could figure out...and fixed it on the spot for forty bucks.

Don't know why people are so afraid of MR2's. But then again I would be mad if I had to work on one and didn't love them.

Just about any where should be good for brakes.
