What a stunning piece of work! It is gorgeous from almost every angle, and it has Toyota's bulletproof 2GR-FE.

Dustin at Gossett called me about those a few weeks back. He said the targa/supercharged versions will be out a couple of years after the base model is released. Think 350+HP (rumor is closer to 400) in a mid-engine mid 2000 pound car. Pure heaven!!!

Besides with a child on the way at 2+2 would work better

I think I might have found a reason to trade my Elise in They come in blue right

Price it around $30,000 or south instead of $60,000 or $80,000 and I'm in. :-) Oh...And it has to be easier to get in and out of than the Elise that James and I got in and out of at the car show in Memphis. LOL After all, what's all that worth, if you look like a smuck trying to get in and out of it.

its rumored to be closer to 80K for the base and 100K for the supercharged vert but I think it all depends on what the dollar does in the next two years.

WOW! Mid-engined 2+2!
There you go Chris!

It is good looking, but a little too pricey for my cheap fanny. I have been thinking about getting a new truck. But, there is NOTHING out there I like the same way I like my truck. I do like the FJ Cruiser, but they would have to make it like the 4-door Jeep Wrangler for me to buy one. You know, 4-doors, drop top with roll bars. I really like that Jeep, but I don't like the un-dependability of Jeeps.

Still, that Evora would be COOL!

daniel, you should see the truck they had in at Wolfchase Toyota. The guy got the new 5.7L Tundra standard cab, then he ordered he TRD supercharger kit which keeps the warranty and bumps the power to 500Hp and 500 Ft/Lbs. The tech said it just had a REAL hard time getting any power to the wheels! If you just flick the throttle in a corner, the back end is gone!

Anyways, I really like this lotus! The front almost has a Ferrari shape to it with a little Lamborghini in the headlights, Toyota drivetrain, and sexy as hell! Chris, I bet you'd have to order the blue/red combo! I even love the wheels on that thing! It's going to be an amazing car all-around! I just can't believe how much lotus undercuts the prices of other supercars - they really are going to be driving prices down for Porsche, Ferrari, and Lamborghini at this rate! i know there's purists out there, but there's people that read car and driver and Road and Track and see that this is just a pure handling machine for 1/2 the price too!

Sorry, Chris. A baby on the way is no excuse to buy a 2+2. However, it does qualify as an extra justification for your WRX that is on order! Congrats on the news...your life will NEVER be the same...and that is a good thing.
